Your cake board should generally be approximately 5 cm larger than the cake.
Cake diameter

Large decorations, flowers, lettering or asymmetrical compositions may require a wider margin.

Depending on the cake board selected, choose from natural, white or black edge finishes.

Cake boards vs cake drums
Dasbi wooden cake boards provide a rigid, clean and customisable alternative to traditional cardboard cake drums.

Before you choose
- Consider the cake’s total weight, diameter and length.
- Consider the number of tiers and how the weight is distributed.
- Choose a thicker board for large or unevenly loaded cakes.
Assembly & transport
- Use an appropriate internal support system for tiered cakes.
- Keep the board completely flat while lifting and transporting it.
- Support the entire board from underneath; never lift it by one edge.
- Secure the cake inside a correctly sized cake box.
For large wedding cakes, Long Cakes and tiered structures, we generally recommend a 9 mm cake board.
Clean the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Do not immerse the cake board in water.
Do not wash it under running water.
Do not place it in a dishwasher.
Do not use alcohol, abrasive products or abrasive sponges.
Dry the surface immediately after cleaning.
Prolonged exposure to water or excessive moisture may damage the wood.
