Made from wood certified for food use and specially treated for contact with food, it offers the following features:

- Food-grade varnish with antimicrobial properties. The wood used to make the MDF comes from plantations grown without biocides; the antimicrobial properties belong to the food-grade varnish.
- Food-grade varnish treatment, specially designed for direct and indirect food contact and compliant with European Union regulations (EU 10/2011) and US FDA standards (21 CFR 175.300).
